The Back to School Bash, the area's largest school supply giveaway, is set for Saturday at the Citrus Bowl.

The event, which has drawn up to 30,000 people, will run from 8 a.m. to noon, but parents often line up hours early. The bash will feature the distribution of 8,000 backpacks and school supplies, free haircuts, immunizations, dental screenings, vision screenings and other services.

There will also be entertainment, including musicians, a DJ, comedian, games and bounce houses.

Companies, groups and individuals reached out to help when the all-volunteer event was nearly canceled last month. Sam's Club, Florida Hospital, Amway, Dick Batchelor Management Group, Love Orlando and the Harris Rosen Foundation have been the biggest donors.

After the outpouring of support, the event was moved from the Amway Center to the Citrus Bowl.
