Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Initiates New Leadership at 22nd Annual Installation Luncheon
ORLANDO, Fl. - (February 26, 2014) - The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Metro Orlando (HCCMO) hosted their 22ND Annual Installation Luncheon in a special event, celebrated at the beautiful Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando. The event marked a great year of success as it was Ms. Diana Bolivar's first year as President. Hundreds of businesses, community leaders and elected officials witnessed the swearing of a new Chair of the Board, Giorgina Pinedo-Rolón, and the new Board of Directors, who will be leading the organization in 2014.
After welcoming remarks from HCCMO's President, Diana Bolívar, primary event sponsor Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, gave their remarks. The outgoing Chair of the Board, Mr. José Cerda from State Farm Insurance, took us on a year-end review journey for 2013. He recognized the outgoing Board, which worked with him during the past year. "It was an absolute honor to serve as Chair of the board of the Hispanic chamber of commerce of Metro Orlando ... I am very thankful for the opportunity to serve our community. Ending my tenure as chair does not mean I am walking away. I am going to continue to be an active member of the chamber." Stated, Mr. Cerda as he proudly discussed the many accomplishments during the past year.
Subsequent to a great lunch, the HCCMO, recognized its Trustees whose contributions are an integral part of the chamber's success. Judge Jose "Pepito" Rodriguez from the Ninth Judicial Circuit Court of Florida conducted the initiation of the 2014/15 Officers and Board of Directors: Chair: Giorgina Pinedo-Rolón, Gio Communications; Vice Chair: José Nido, Wyndham Worldwide Corporation; Vice Chair Elect: Lourdes M. "2013 was an important year for the HCCMO, its members, and stakeholders. We had an impressive year of success in a transition year, where our mission and vision stayed at the forefront. I am encouraged and excited for what lies ahead in 2014 as the chamber continues to work for its members". Said, President Diana Bolivar.
After the swearing ceremony, the new Chair of the Board, Ms. Giorgina Pinedo-Rolón, shared with the attendees what she envisions for the chamber and concluded with a motivating speech. "I will continue to work with Diana and her team to ensure that the Hispanic business community of this region finds in this Chamber the resources and tools necessary to excel and succeed." Stated, Ms. Pinedo-Rolón.
The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Metro Orlando is a not-for-profit organization founded in 1993 with the mission to provide leadership and support the economic development of the Hispanic business community of Metro Orlando.
